Privacy and your data

This page explains what ESC Connect stores, what it publishes, and how you remove it.

What is published

Only what you enter yourself and mark as public: your display name, the city and country you live in, your projects (country, host organisation, field, dates), your status, the topics you are happy to be asked about, your photo if you upload one, and anything you write in your own words.

What is never published

Your email address, phone number and any messaging handle. These are stored so you can edit them, but no public page prints them. Visitors write to you through a form on the site and the message reaches you by email.

Verification documents

If you apply for the verified badge you upload a volunteering agreement or a Youthpass. A moderator opens it, decides, and the system deletes the file. Only the decision is kept: approved or not, when, and by whom. The document itself does not stay on the server.

Your control

You can set your profile to public, members only, or hidden at any time. You can edit every field. You can delete your account, and deletion removes your profile, your projects and your messages for good.

Where your data came from

Nobody is added to this directory by hand. If you arrived through an invitation, the association already held your name, your email and your project record from its own volunteer files. That information was shown to you during sign-up so you could check it. Nothing is published until you confirm it yourself.
